SALE OF ZITZMANN DRUCKGUSS Gmbh

Luxfer announced today the sale of Zitzmann Druckguss Gmbh, its magnesium and zinc die casting company to Tonsberg Management Group (TMG).

With the purchase of Zitzmann, TMG acquires a world-class die casting operation, a highly professional management team and a strategic portfolio of automotive based customers.

The sale will generate additional funding to enable Luxfer to make further investments in higher added value and speciality areas of magnesium. These areas will more fully utilise Magnesium Elektron's world leading expertise in high performance magnesium alloys and associated processes.

Magnesium Elektron has operations in the UK, Czech Republic, USA and Canada, and has been developing and manufacturing magnesium alloys, wrought products, and magnesium powders for 70 years.

Elektron alloys are used extensively in the aerospace, nuclear power, high performance automotive, military, and pharmaceutical markets.
