NEW CHAIRMAN FOR LUXFER GROUP

Peter Haslehurst is to take over as Chairman of LUXFER HOLDINGS PLC with immediate effect. He replaces Jeff Whalley, who has stepped down from the post following his appointment as Chairman and Chief Executive of GWB Holdings Plc.
Peter Haslehurst has been a Non-executive Director of Luxfer since 2003. Peter is a Chartered Engineer and has been a Managing Director/Chief Executive and Chairman in manufacturing industry for over 35 years. He holds a number of other non-executive and executive directorships and appointments including Executive Chairman of the Brunner Mond Group, Chairman of Imago at Loughborough and President Emeritus of VAI Industries (UK). Peter was appointed to the post of Executive Chairman of The Brunner Mond Group in 2001 during a period of upheaval involving a debt for equity swap with bondholders. Under his leadership Brunner Mond has become one of the world's most efficient producers of sodium carbonate and bicarbonate, producing premium products and improving product quality, customer service and output. In February 2006 the company was acquired by Tata Chemicals. Peter continues as Executive Chairman of Brunner Mond. Brian Purves, Luxfer's Chief Executive, paid tribute to Jeff Whalley saying �Jeff has been Chairman of Luxfer since its creation over 10 years ago.
